A WisdomLab is a metaphor for a conversation with our clients, 1-to-1 or in groups where we bring practical knowledge we’ve translated out of Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology, Philosophy and blend and test this knowledge with their lived real experiences and on their challenges and goals.

A WisdomLab generates tried and tested useful wisdom that is retested and offered in the next conversation constantly upgrading the ultimate purpose – ”usefulness”.

The giants* who provide the knowledge, hold the ultimate purpose to be right, true and the best. In a WisdomLab in the real world our ultimate purpose is usefulness.

From 15 years of clients WisdomLabs, we have accumulated a vast collection of wisdom, models and tools on humans at work.

About Us

We’re 2nd Career Practitioner/Scholars. We’ve had careers in organisations, we now consult to clients and we research everything we do in academic and global leading edge research and publications.

Errol Benvie

My first career was in a range of leadership and CEO roles spanning almost three decades during South Africa’s Apartheid and Post-Apartheid legendary socio-political complexity. VUCA has been familiar to me for much of my working experience.

Emigrating to Australia in 2006, I returned to fulltime study with a Masters in Organisational (Applied Psychology) Coaching at Sydney University where I came across a profound reality. All of my backwards understanding (intuition) I had, appeared to have already been researched and labelled, and thousands of papers had been published in online databases on every topic. And no one told me.

We began a leadership consultancy named the “WisdomLab” and as “practitioner/scholars” we “ferret” across the Humanities databases for useful knowledge which we translate into practical Applications for use by our clients. The purpose is to empower their “backwards understanding” of their lives and businesses so they can generate successful and sustainable “predictive strategies” for their futures.
